Dear Garden Hills Pool Community,
We are thrilled to announce that our $800,000 capital improvement project is nearing completion, bringing significant upgrades to enhance your experience at the pool. These improvements reflect our ongoing commitment to providing a safe, modern, and enjoyable facility for all.
WHAT’S NEW?
Here’s a glimpse of the exciting upgrades you’ll see:
With these improvements, we’re excited to welcome both returning and new members for the upcoming season!
Membership opens on THURSDAY, MARCH 20TH at 9:00 PM. Be sure you are subscribed to the pool newsletter, “The Splash!” Through the newsletter, you will receive reminders about membership sales night and how to navigate our new membership software, the updated Summer 2025 calendar, Holiday and Members Only Events, and more! The subscription form can be found at the bottom of the home page.
On behalf of the all-volunteer Garden Hills Pool & Park Association Board, we appreciate your patience and support as we complete these improvements. We can’t wait to see you at the pool soon!
Best regards,
Jason Holland
Board President, Garden Hills Pool & Park Association
Garden Hills Pool will open to GHP Members on Friday, May 9, 2025 @ 4:30 PM.
The pool will open to the Public on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
Senior (65+) | $160 |
Single | $205 |
Family of 2 | $340 |
Family of 3 | $430 |
Family of 4+ | $465 |
*Caregiver/Nanny Add-On | $50 |
Memberships allow up to the designated number of individuals in the category to be listed for pool access. When determining the appropriate membership level to cover all participants in a household, all persons over the age of 2 by May 1, 2025 are to be included in the count.
Participants on a single account must be the Primary Account Holder, their partner/spouse, and their direct descendant(s) living at the same residence.
A pool membership is non-transferrable. Members may bring guests for $5/person (for persons over the age of 2) during Members Only Hours, and must be present with their guests during Members Only Hours. This means that your exchange student, vacation guests, dog walker, tutor, etc., may not visit the pool without you, or a family member who is listed on your account, during Members Only Hours. These persons may visit the pool at any time without your presence, during Free Swim Hours or Paid Admission Hours, as a member of the general public.
WE ARE STARTING FROM SCRATCH
Everyone will need to set up a new account, with a new login and password. This can’t be done ahead of time- it’s part of the purchase process. After you set up your new account on Membership Sales night, you’ll then be able to purchase your membership. The process is quick!
SAVE YOUR OLD KEY TAGS!
Keep your key tags. We can link your old key tags to your brand-new account when you visit the pool for the first time (or during our pre-season key tag renewal/pick-up nights– TBD). Each family member 13 & Over can have their own key tag. If you have more than you need from years past, you can turn them in to the front desk for recycling.
YOU’LL ADD YOUR OWN PHOTOS
During the process, you will be asked to upload a family picture and a picture for each of your family members. Please note that you can add pictures LATER. Family members 13+ should have a photo on file by Opening Night for Members, which is Friday, May 9th. If you don’t have a quickly-accessible family photo, just upload a picture of the Account Holder (the person who purchases the account) in that spot.
A NANNY/CAREGIVER IS A SEPARATE ADD-ON
From now going forward, only the account holder, their spouse/partner, and direct descendants (over the age of 2 as of May 1, 2025) living in the same household are to be included in the Membership count when selecting your Membership Level.
Purchasing the Nanny/Caregiver add-on ($50 for the season) is a smart decision if you have one dedicated caregiver who will accompany your child/children often over the course of the summer. The add-on charge of $50 covers 10 visits, so it is a good deal! Their name will be associated with your account, so check-in will be easy. They’ll bring your family’s key tag with them for check-in.
On the other hand, if you have several baby-sitters, or will only occasionally have a babysitter/grandparent/aunt/uncle bringing your child/children to the pool, you would be better-served to just send them with the $5 guest fee as the occasion arises.
USE A COMPUTER VERSUS A PHONE
The Pool Board volunteers have tested the new membership system and found it to be user-friendly and expedient! Several Board Members found that the phone worked fine, but if you have issues signing up when using your phone, switch to a computer.
DON’T PANIC!
When the link opens on 3/20: DO NOT PANIC. If you’ve been a member for years, you know (even though you can’t help yourself, and still panic, and might feel the urge to call a pool board friend you know to see if they have magical powers to predict, which, P.S. they don’t…) that memberships NEVER. EVER. EVER sell out on opening night. It takes weeks to sell out, not hours. So this is a no-stress situation, with a new platform that is easier to navigate than what you’ve experienced before.
Now you are ready to get Summer 2025 started! Hot dogs, cold Icees, and sunny skies ahead.
We will be actively collecting $5 per non-member per visit (for all persons over the age of 2) during Paid Admission hours at the Admissions Desk, as required by the City of Atlanta for all city pools. This fee applies whether those who enter the pool area plan to swim or not. All non-members are required to sign in on the clipboard and pay entry fees upon arrival.
Again, please be sure to subscribe to The Splash! newsletter so our latest updates go directly to your inbox!
